Standing with Isolated Youth
In Japan, around two million young people experience “social isolation” — disconnected from school, the workplace, or their communities.
Sodateage Net is a nonprofit organization on a mission to “connect youth with society,” helping them find a way of living and working that suits them.
Harsh Judgment Faced by Youth
Even as Japan faces a shrinking youth population, more children are refusing school than ever before, and the number of socially withdrawn or unemployed young people has not decreased.
Yet, the belief that these are “family issues” or “personal failings” persists—leaving many without the help they truly need.
Supporting Youth Is a

Join Us as a Charity Runner
Sodateage Net is a designated donation recipient organization for the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2025 Charity.
We invite those who support our mission to become Charity Runners by making a donation above a specified amount.
Selected donors will be eligible to participate as Charity Runners in the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2025, which will take place on October 19, 2025.
Please note that the number of Charity Runners is limited.
In addition to the donation, a separate race entry fee and related payments are required.

Use of Donations
Outreach Program for
High School Students
We visit schools nationwide to offer programs that help students handle life’s challenges and encourage them to seek help instead of facing problems alone.
So far, we’ve reached 20,000 students at 203 schools.
Providing Learning Opportunities
We offer regular learning support for school-age children.
Falling behind can lead to school refusal, and in correspondence high schools, submitting reports is key to graduation.
Donations also help cover exam fees and venue costs.
Job Training and Social Skills
Children who missed out on school events often struggle with self-esteem.
We provide camps and job experiences to help them reconnect and grow.

Those who donate 50,000 yen or more will be eligible for selection as Charity Runners.
We gratefully accept all donations starting from 1,000 yen.
We’re sorry, but donations are non-refundable.

Only the person registered for the race may participate. Substitutions are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.
If you are facing special circumstances, please contact us through the inquiry form at the bottom of this page. We’d be happy to assist you.
It is not a problem if the name on the donation payment is different from the runner.
For example, a company may make the donation, and one of its employees may participate in the race.
If the donor and the runner are not the same person, please mention this in the comment section when submitting your donation.
If we cannot match the donor and the runner at the time of processing, your application may not be eligible for selection.
Donations under a corporate or organizational name are also welcome.

When submitting your donation, please be sure to indicate that it is being made on behalf of a company or organization.
Please apply to only one donation recipient organization.
The minimum donation amount is 50,000 yen.
Charity Runner spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
We do not accept changes to the donation amount after submission.
The availability changes daily, so please contact us directly for the most up-to-date information.
